I grew up sewing. I learned mostly from my sisters since all four of us would make dresses together,  And we would make shirts for dad and our bother. each of us had our strengths,  Sarah was good at reading the patterns and ironing, Elisabeth was good at coming up with ideas. Susan, the oldest had the most skill. and I enjoyed precision and efficiency. after those seasons, the sewing diminished and though we would make clothing here and there we tried to find other sources for dresses that were natural fiber. since we no longer took the time to sew.

Many years later in 2016 the dresses & shirts we had made were finally wearing out and I was getting more in to yard work and outdoor activities. so I needed some more dresses that would hold up, also Bryan my brother, was participating in an orchestra performance that required a white button down shirt which he did not have. so I set out to make one. and begin to sew again!
